Day I (1.5 hour)
- Protecting your idea in a pinch (confidentiality agreements/provisional patent applications) (10 min Lecture; 20 min exercise)
- Types of patent searches and conducting a patentability search (10 min lecture + 20 min exercise and report generation + 10 min discussion)
- Identifying patentable ideas (10 min lecture + 5-20min exercise)
Day II (2 hours)
- Understanding and applying different but important patenting strategies (20 min lecture + Q&A)
- Understanding patent harvesting and identifying patentable ideas and products (Exercise 20-30 min + Q&A)
- Understanding the costs of IP and how to manage them (In Draft - not finished yet) (5-10 min lecture + Q&A)
- Developing a corporate patent strategy plan for Start-Ups (5 min lecture + 30-40 min drafting a strategic plan + 10 min discussions/Q&A)
